The diamond-tipped nozzles boast high abrasion resistance and thermal conductivity, which E3D says can help create stronger prints.
E3D has introduced new additions to its growing lineup of DiamondBack products, with Prusa Nextruder and Creality Unicorn nozzles.
The DiamondBack collaboration was announced last September, and features a range of diamond-tipped – and therefore highly abrasion-resistant – hot ends and nozzles for different models of 3D printers.
The latest entries to the series come in 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm versions. The Nextruder nozzle is compatible with Prusa MK3.9, MK3.9S, MK4, and MK4S 3D printers, the Prusa XL, and the Core One, which is set to ship next week. The Creality Unicorn nozzle is compatible with Creality K1C, K1 Max, and Ender 3 V3, V3 Plus, V3 KE, and V3 SE machines.
In addition to abrasion resistance, E3D says its DiamondBack series boasts good thermal conductivity – helping create stronger prints with better layer adhesion – and can create smooth top layers due to the nozzles’ “ironing-like effect”.
Both nozzles are priced at £99.50 (about $123) and are currently available on E3D’s website.
